Lead Clearance
The State of Michigan as well as the United States Environmental Protection Agency along with OSHA requires a lead clearance after all Lead Hazard Control (Interim & Abatement) activities have concluded. This ensures that individuals occupying the facility or residence do not come in contact or get exposed to toxic components such as lead dust, or soil that's contaminated with lead or disturbing other substrate materials that contain lead based paint. The Clearance is comprised of 3 steps: first PCI will review the scope of work and investigate to verify all work was performed as specified by a qualified RRP Certified or other Lead Inspector / Supervisor, Second step will determine the work-site area and verify containment followed by dust wipe sample gathering in appropriate areas. And Third, PCI will review the dust wipe sample results from our laboratory and analyze the data to ensure that the subject property passes based on EPA regulated thresholds.
